Club Deportivo Leganés is a Spanish football club based in the city of Leganés, a community in Madrid. Since the 2016-17 season, it has participated in the highest level of the National League.

Founded in 1928, it did not distinguish itself at national level until the 1990s, being promoted to the Second Division for the first time in the 1992-93 season. It remained in the Silver Division for 11 consecutive seasons before being relegated in 2003-04. After ten years in the Second Division, he returned to the Professional Football League in the 2013-14 season. At the end of the 2015-16 season, they finished second in the regular season, meaning they were promoted to the First Division for the first time in their history.
